Hugh Jackman , Kate Hudson All Set To Star In Musical Movie 'Song Sung Blue'
October 15, 2024: Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are set to star in the upcoming musical drama Song Sung Blue, directed by Craig Brewer for Focus Features.
The film is inspired by the real-life story of two musicians who form a Neil Diamond tribute band, as seen in the 2008 documentary Song Sung Blue by Greg Kohs. The movie follows their journey of love, resilience, and pursuing dreams, even when life seems against them.
The ensemble cast also includes Michael Imperioli, Fisher Stevens, Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, and Hudson Hilbert Hensley. Produced by John Davis and John Fox for Davis Entertainment, the film also has Erika Hampson and Kohs as executive producers.
Jackman, who was recently in Deadpool & Wolverine, has other exciting projects lined up, including a 2025 concert series at Radio City Music Hall, Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie, and The Death of Robin Hood. Meanwhile, Kate Hudson will star in Running Point, a basketball-themed comedy series created by Mindy Kaling, where she will play the President of a major basketball franchise.
