Hyderabad Gears Up for Miss World 2025: Contestants to Attend IPL Match as Part of Cultural Tour

As part of the official Miss World 2025 festivities, contestants from over 120 countries will attend an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal on May 21. The glamorous evening promises to merge global pageantry with India’s favorite sporting passion, offering contestants a uniquely Indian experience.

The pageant’s cultural schedule begins with a heritage walk through Hyderabad’s iconic Charminar and Laad Bazaar on May 12. This will be followed by a visit to the historic Chowmahalla Palace on May 13, and a day-long trip to Warangal’s architectural gems — including the Thousand Pillar Temple and Ramappa Temple — on May 14, accompanied by a performance of the traditional Perini dance.

To welcome the international guests in true Telangana style, elaborate arrangements have been made at Shamshabad Airport. Telangana Tourism has installed themed arches featuring the state’s cultural and natural landmarks, and help desks and VIP lounges have been set up for arriving delegates. The airport now buzzes with the spirit of celebration, amplified by the slogan “Telangana Jaroor Aana” — encouraging visitors to explore the rich heritage and hospitality of the state.

The event will culminate at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, where the reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, will crown her successor. Representing India on the international stage will be Nandini Gupta, Femina Miss India World 2023.

With over 1.5 lakh international tourists recorded in 2024, Telangana hopes to use the Miss World platform to further elevate its status as a premier global travel destination.
