"I am Not A Very Award Fellow..", Says Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra On Submitting '12th Fail' For Oscars
Vidhu Vinod Chopra is clearly thrilled with the positive reception that his latest film 12th Fail has received, both in India and internationally.
Starring Vikrant Massey, the film tells the inspiring story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who rose from extreme poverty to become an IPS officer, with significant support from his wife, IRS officer Shraddha Joshi.
Chopra, known for his deep and thoughtful filmmaking, shared his personal measure of success at the IIFA 2024 green carpet. He emphasized that external accolades mean less to him compared to the personal satisfaction of having achieved his artistic vision.
While discussing whether he would submit 12th Fail for the Oscars, Chopra made it clear that awards are not his primary focus. For him, the real reward comes from watching the finished film and feeling satisfied with what he has created.
Additionally, Chopra revealed exciting news about his upcoming project, Zero Se Restart, scheduled for release on December 13, 2024. He described it as a prequel to 12th Fail, adding another layer of anticipation for fans who enjoyed the original film.
