Kareena Kapoor Khan’s latest film, ‘The Buckingham Murders,’ directed by Hansal Mehta, is now out in theatres.
The film introduces Kareena in a new light, as she plays Sergeant Jasmeet ‘Jass’ Bhamra, a grieving mother who is still coping with the tragic loss of her son, Ekam (played by Mairaaj Kakkar). Her character is tasked with investigating the case of a missing boy, Ishpreet, who is roughly the same age as her son, adding emotional weight to the plot.

As the film hit theatres on Friday, Kareena took to Instagram to express her pride in taking on such a challenging role, stating, “As an actor, it’s the choices one makes… And I am very proud of this choice. Please watch this story and dive into my world of crime and drama… a dream I have always had to act in or produce one… but here I got the best of both worlds.” She also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set.
