“I Am Very Proud Of This Choice..” : Kareena Kapoor On ‘The Buckingham Murders’ , Now In Cinemas

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s latest film, ‘The Buckingham Murders,’ directed by Hansal Mehta, is now out in theatres.

The film introduces Kareena in a new light, as she plays Sergeant Jasmeet ‘Jass’ Bhamra, a grieving mother who is still coping with the tragic loss of her son, Ekam (played by Mairaaj Kakkar). Her character is tasked with investigating the case of a missing boy, Ishpreet, who is roughly the same age as her son, adding emotional weight to the plot.

Kareena’s portrayal in The Buckingham Murders is a notable departure from her previous roles, offering a deeper, more intense performance in this mysterious crime drama.

As the film hit theatres on Friday, Kareena took to Instagram to express her pride in taking on such a challenging role, stating, “As an actor, it’s the choices one makes… And I am very proud of this choice. Please watch this story and dive into my world of crime and drama… a dream I have always had to act in or produce one… but here I got the best of both worlds.” She also shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set.

Ranveer Brar, who plays Daljeet Kohli in the film, spoke about his experience working with Kareena in an interview with ANI. He described working with her as “surreal,” praising her professionalism and ability to make her co-stars feel comfortable on set. Brar was particularly impressed by how effortlessly Kareena transformed into her character once the camera started rolling, highlighting her expertise in her craft.

In addition to The Buckingham Murders, Kareena will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s action-packed film ‘Singham Again,’ further expanding her range as an actress.
