I Suddenly Felt Like a Woman”: Alicia Kaur on Breast Augmentation and Body Positivity

“From overcoming insecurities to mentoring young models, Alicia Kaur embraces self-acceptance and inspires open discussions about body image.”

Mumbai, December 15: Mumbai-based supermodel Alicia Kaur, celebrated for her Australian roots and rising prominence in the Indian fashion industry, recently opened up about her journey toward self-acceptance. In a candid interview, Alicia revealed her decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery last year, describing how it helped her feel more aligned with her perception of femininity.

“I wasn’t comfortable with my body. Every day, I’d look in the mirror and feel less womanly and more masculine. After the surgery, I suddenly felt like a woman. It’s hard to explain how happy I am with the results,” she shared.

Alicia, who has graced major fashion events like Lakme Fashion Week, explained that her choice was driven by personal insecurities rooted in her athletic physique from a sports background.

Informed Decisions and Natural Results

The supermodel emphasized the importance of thoughtful decision-making, revealing that she consulted multiple doctors over the years before proceeding. “It’s crucial to set boundaries. I admired women with fuller figures, but I wanted natural results. I think the outcome looks very authentic,” Alicia added.

Addressing Sports Injuries

Beyond breast augmentation, Alicia has undergone minor cosmetic procedures to correct facial imbalances caused by past sports injuries. “I’ve had a little bit of Botox to fix a sunken eye and slightly crooked nose, injuries from breaking it four times during my sports career. My doctor advised against further changes, and I haven’t had any lip fillers—these are all natural,” she said.

While she might consider surgery in the future to address breathing issues caused by the nose injury, Alicia noted that it’s not urgent.

Advocating for Transparency and Body Positivity

Alicia has been open about her experiences on social media, aiming to educate her followers about cosmetic procedures and promote body positivity. “I’ve always been honest about my journey. Younger models often ask how I maintain my lifestyle or make certain decisions. I want to mentor them and help them feel confident in their own choices,” she said.

Her candid approach has made her a role model in the fashion industry. “Transparency is key. I love talking to younger models who look up to me, and I want to inspire them to embrace their individuality,” she added.

Making Headlines

Earlier this year, Alicia performed alongside actor Sidharth Malhotra at a retro-themed fashion show by designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil in Delhi, earning widespread praise. Her graceful presence at high-profile events continues to solidify her position as a prominent voice for self-acceptance and body positivity in the fashion world.
