February 1, 2025: Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is all set to make his acting debut with Nadaaniyan, a romantic drama produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner.
The film will be released on Netflix and features Ibrahim in a pivotal role alongside a talented ensemble cast, including Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, Mahima Chaudhary, and Jugal Hansraj. The female lead in the film is Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.
Nadaaniyan is described as a “young adult romantic drama” that explores the magic, madness, and innocence of first love. The story centers around Piya (played by Khushi Kapoor), a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi, and Arjun (Ibrahim), a determined middle-class boy from Noida. Their two vastly different worlds collide, leading to an emotional journey filled with mischief, heart, and the chaos of young love.
The first-look poster shared by Netflix showcases Ibrahim and Khushi sitting together on a lush green field, offering a glimpse of the youthful and heartfelt nature of the film.
The producers at Dharmatic Entertainment expressed their excitement about introducing Ibrahim and Khushi’s dynamic pairing, emphasizing that Nadaaniyan will capture the essence of first love. Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, highlighted the film’s emotional rollercoaster, bringing together a fresh perspective on young love through debutante director Shauna Gautam’s vision.
Shauna Gautam, who previously assisted Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, marks her directorial debut with this project. The film promises to resonate with young audiences, offering a mix of romance, humor, and heartache that defines the early stages of love.
