“Idiots and Limited Brains”: Amitabh Blasts Divorce Rumour Mongers Amid Abhishek & Aishwarya Speculations

December 9, 2024: Amid persistent rumours of a divorce between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan has expressed his frustration, sharing cryptic and strongly-worded posts targeting those spreading fake news about his family.

The divorce speculation, which gained traction due to the couple’s separate public appearances—including at the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant earlier this year—has been the subject of much media attention. At the event, Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya arrived independently, while Abhishek was seen with the rest of the Bachchan family, including Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, and Navya Naveli Nanda.

Amitabh’s Fiery Response

In response to the rumours, the Bollywood megastar took to his blog and X account (formerly Twitter) to denounce the spread of misinformation. Though Amitabh did not directly mention the divorce rumours, his posts hinted at his annoyance.

On his blog, Amitabh wrote:
“Idiots and those with limited brain – never a dearth of such in this world; they make and print their own imbecilic fakes each day to hide their own personal, brainless, half-witted deficiencies in such.” He signed off with, “My love.”

The Kalki 2898 AD actor followed up with cryptic tweets. In one, he wrote:
“Banane waale jo har shabd kaa apna hi arth nikalte hai, apna niji jeevan ke anarth ko chipaate hai”
(A loose translation: “Those who derive their own meaning from every word hide the misfortunes of their personal lives.”)

Earlier, Amitabh had tweeted a blunt, one-word post: “Chup” (meaning “quiet”), accompanied by an angry emoji. This was followed by another post:
“Chup chaap, chidi ka baap” (roughly translating to: “You’re too insignificant to speak”).

Professional Front

Despite the storm of rumors, the Bachchan family continues to maintain a dignified silence. On the professional front, Amitabh was recently seen in Vettaiyan, starring alongside Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. He is also hosting the sixteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is rumored to be working on upcoming international projects, while Abhishek Bachchan continues to receive acclaim for his recent OTT series and films.
