IIFA 2025: Kareena Kapoor Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Grandfather Raj Kapoor with Iconic Performance
March 10, 2025: Bollywood’s beloved diva Kareena Kapoor Khan stole the show at IIFA 2025 in Jaipur, as she delivered a stunning tribute to her grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor.
At the 25th edition of the IIFA Awards, Kareena Kapoor took a nostalgic turn, recreating Raj Kapoor’s iconic moves from the classic song ‘Mera Joota Hai Japani’ from Shree 420.
Dressed in a classic black suit, Kareena Kapoor elegantly recreated Raj Kapoor’s signature style, mesmerizing the audience with her heartfelt tribute.
“We’re truly in love with this beautiful tribute to Raj Kapoor for our Silver Jubilee celebration,” read the official post by IIFA’s Instagram handle.

Taking the nostalgia a step further, Kareena Kapoor also performed to the evergreen romantic track ‘Pyar Hua Ikraar Hua’, originally picturized on Raj Kapoor and Nargis. The audience was transported back to Bollywood’s golden era as Kareena gracefully channeled the magic of her grandfather’s legacy.
