“India Is Peace-Loving, But Not Weak”: Ravi Kishan on Operation Sindoor and Terror Response

May 18, 2025: BJP Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan has voiced strong support for India’s decisive action against terrorism under Operation Sindoor, reaffirming the country’s commitment to peace and security. Speaking about India’s military strike launched on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, Kishan highlighted the nation’s resolve to defend itself when provoked.

“India is a peace-loving state, but will also not retreat from war,” Kishan stated. “If Pakistan engages in terrorist activities or provokes India, it will get a befitting reply. The Indian Armed Forces know exactly how to respond.”

Operation Sindoor was initiated following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. India retaliated by targeting nine terror hubs located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), sending a strong message about the country’s zero-tolerance policy toward cross-border terrorism.

Kishan also emphasized India’s diplomatic efforts on the global stage, including a newly formed all-party delegation tasked with engaging international leaders to expose Pakistan’s involvement in fostering terrorism.

“A committee of members from various political parties will meet global leaders to show how Pakistan spreads terrorism and disrupts peace in India,” he explained. “This time, the entire country is united. ‘Modi ji ne ghar mein ghus ke maara’—that’s the level of resolve.”

The Gorakhpur MP also expressed gratitude for being selected for the Sansad Ratna Award 2025, which honors outstanding parliamentarians for their contributions to legislative work and public service.

“I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and the people of Gorakhpur for their trust,” he said. “Their support motivates me to work harder and raise public concerns in Parliament. I’m grateful to the jury for this recognition. I am very happy.”
