Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par is days away from its theatrical release, and the superstar kicked off celebrations with a heartwarming private musical evening at his Mumbai residence. The guest list was as stellar as the film’s title suggests — with celebrities, cricketing legends, and family all under one roof.
Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma delighted the attendees by performing classical raagas alongside musical maestro Shankar Mahadevan. A video shared by Kapil on social media — now viral — shows Aamir joyfully joining in, as applause filled the room. “A special evening with the special sitaare of Sitaare Zameen Par,” Kapil captioned the video, extending his best wishes to Aamir.

The gathering also drew attention for its unique mix of people in Aamir’s personal life — his current partner Gauri Spratt was seen seated beside him, while his ex-wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao mingled warmly with guests. Aamir had publicly confirmed his relationship with Gauri earlier this year on his 60th birthday, revealing they’ve been together for over 18 months and are now part of each other’s families.

Also spotted at the event was a clean-shaven Ranbir Kapoor, who posed for group photos with the film’s cast. The bash became even more memorable with the arrival of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali, who were greeted by cheers and chants of “Sachin, Sachin!”
