Amidst the buzz, rumours circulated that Akshay Kumar, the lead from the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, would make a cameo in the upcoming horror-comedy. However, Akshay has officially put the speculation to rest, calling the reports “fake news.”

When asked directly about the cameo rumours, Akshay clarified, “No, absolutely not. It’s fake news.” The actor, who played a pivotal role in the first instalment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, will not be part of the third film. Akshay was recently seen making a special appearance in Stree 2, joining Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, teasing a potential crossover in Dinesh Vijan’s expanding horror-comedy universe.

I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming… can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all.
