The footage showed Byron getting unusually close to his coworker Kristin Cabot, despite being married to another woman. The incident, which was displayed on the concert’s jumbotron, quickly became an internet sensation.

Following the viral moment, an online job listing purportedly from Astronomer seeking a new CEO began circulating. While the company did not directly confirm the authenticity of the posting, Astronomer announced shortly after that co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy has assumed the role of interim CEO.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Astronomer stated, “Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO, given Andy Byron has been placed on leave. We will share more details as appropriate in the coming days.”

Astronomer also confirmed that an internal investigation involving Byron and Cabot is underway. The company emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards of conduct and accountability, stating, “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”

The company clarified that Alyssa Stoddard was not present at the event, and no other employees appeared in the video. Despite rumors, Andy Byron has not made any public statements regarding the incident.

The viral job listing, first shared by career content creator Jerry Lee on Instagram, described the CEO position as remote with frequent travel to New York and other global locations. The listing mentioned a competitive base salary range of $469,000 to $690,000, alongside performance bonuses and equity incentives, and noted the position was to be filled “as soon as possible.”
