Crunchyroll confirmed at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles that Black Clover Season 5 is in production, sparking excitement across the anime community.

While a specific release date hasn’t been set, Crunchyroll revealed that the new season will stream exclusively on its platform. Season 5 will pick up right where the original anime left off in 2021, resolving cliffhangers and continuing the intense story arcs that captivated audiences.

A new teaser trailer and stunning visual featuring a more powerful and determined Asta were also unveiled. Studio Pierrot, known for hits like Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, is returning to animate the series. Creator Yūki Tabata expressed his gratitude to fans and promised “powered-up” animation and deeper storytelling, building on the franchise’s recent 10th anniversary celebrations.

Season 5 is expected to adapt the Spade Kingdom Raid arc, showcasing Asta’s evolving Anti-Magic abilities, major battles, and the dark secrets of the devils. Fans can look forward to high-stakes showdowns and emotional moments as the story races toward its climax.
