Cardi B Claims Offset Hasn’t Contributed to Their Children’s Expenses Amid Divorce
May 22, 2025: Cardi B took to social media early Friday to call out her estranged husband Offset, accusing him of failing to provide any financial support for their three children. The outburst came just a day after TMZ reported that Offset is seeking spousal support in their ongoing divorce proceedings.
In a candid and emotional X Space session (formerly Twitter Spaces), Cardi B alleged that she’s been solely responsible for their kids’ tuition, classes, and daily needs, adding that Offset hasn’t “paid a dime.”
“You were never like this. I don’t know what has happened in the past six-seven months. Are you on drugs?” she asked during the livestream. “You need mental health help.”
According to reports, Offset filed an amended divorce response in May 2025, requesting joint custody of their children and asking that Cardi B’s residence be listed as their primary address. He is also seeking financial support from Cardi.
The divorce filing came in August 2024, ending a seven-year marriage between the two music superstars. Despite the separation, Cardi B emphasized that she allows Offset to spend time with their kids, stating, “they love you.”
Clips from the X Space quickly spread across social media, with fans showing support for the rapper and applauding her honesty. One user tweeted:
“On Cardi B’s space, she goes off on Offset for trying to call her a deadbeat mom. She said Offset hasn’t spent a dime on the kids for the past 8 months.”
Another wrote:
“Cardi on space again😭😂 I think this is the perfect time to drop that album ma’am.”
A third fan chimed in with support:

As of now, Offset has not issued any public statement in response to Cardi B’s allegations. The ongoing divorce drama continues to unfold, with legal proceedings still in motion.
