June 24, 2025: The trailer for Splitsville, a new chaotic comedy starring Dakota Johnson and Adria Arjona, has just dropped — and it promises a wild ride through love, lies, and open marriages gone wrong.
Directed by Michael Angelo Covino, Splitsville follows two couples navigating relationship turmoil. Arjona plays Ashley, who shocks her husband Carey (Kyle Marvin) by asking for a divorce and confessing to infidelity. Seeking comfort, Carey turns to their married friends Julie (Dakota Johnson) and Paul (Covino) — only to learn that they’ve embraced an open marriage.

Things spiral when Carey and Julie sleep together, sparking rage from Paul and unraveling the complex web of love and friendship. The trailer teases plenty of drama: emotional outbursts, physical altercations, and even car crashes, all served with a generous dose of dark humor.
The film also features Succession star Nicholas Braun, David Castaneda, and O-T Fagbenle in supporting roles.
Splitsville opens in select theatres on August 22, before a wider release on September 5.
