The film continues from 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, reuniting the original stars to help a new group of five friends, who are being hunted down after covering up a fatal accident. And yes — Hewitt’s iconic scream, “What are you waiting for?!” makes a goosebump-inducing return.

The plot promises nostalgia with a modern twist: when the group’s dark secret resurfaces a year later, they find themselves stalked by a relentless killer. Desperate for answers, they turn to the two survivors of the 1997 Southport Massacre — Julie James and Ray Bronson.

The film also stars Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, and Jonah Hauer-King. According to the new cast, blending Gen Z horror energy with the original ’90s icons brought major chemistry — and serious scares.
