In a series of raw and reflective Instagram posts, the Grammy-winning pop star voiced frustration over “transactional relationships” and the burden of constantly having to prove his worth.

“If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love,” Justin shared alongside black-and-white selfies on June 8. His post echoed earlier captions about forgiveness, flaws, and self-worth — painting a picture of an artist tired of surface-level connections.

Bieber’s Instagram Stories delved even deeper. “This is how I feel after people keep telling me there’s more work to do after I’ve given everything I have,” he wrote, captioning a selfie with his hand on his head. The singer questioned the toxic mentality of hustle culture: “We wanna make our life about work so bad. But this life is about God. Loving us so we can love each other.”

Calling out societal pressures, he added, “Stop playing God. People still keep making me think if I work hard on myself, I’ll be better like them. But the harder I work on myself, the more I think about myself. I thought the point was to think about one another?”

Bieber, now 31 and a new dad, is shifting focus to what truly matters to him — faith, family, and peace. He posted a sweet FaceTime moment with his wife, Hailey Bieber, writing, “That’s a man who LOVES his wife.” The couple share a 9-month-old son, Jack, and recently celebrated a major milestone: Hailey’s skincare brand Rhode was acquired by e.l.f. Beauty in a $1 billion deal.

While Hailey steps further into the business world, Justin seems more focused on slowing down, letting go, and finding purpose outside the spotlight. “Join me in letting go of not trying harder,” he urged followers. “Jesus was always the answer to the pain we are all facing.”
