July 29, 2025: Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat has decisively shut down rumors regarding her participation in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss 19. In a clear statement, the actress confirmed she will not be a part of the popular Salman Khan-hosted reality show.
On Monday, Mallika Sherawat took to her Instagram Stories to address the swirling speculation, writing, “Putting an end to all the rumours, I am NOT doing Bigg Boss and NEVER WILL. THANK YOU.” This statement comes after she previously appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss 18 to promote her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Many Bollywood celebrities, including Sunny Leone, Shamita Shetty, and Pooja Bhatt, have participated in the show over the years.
Bigg Boss 19: What to Expect Last week, the makers of Bigg Boss officially announced the 19th season with a striking new logo featuring a multicoloured eye, hinting at the diverse drama and entertainment to come. Sharing the announcement video, the makers teased, “Countdown hogaya hai shuru, hoga chaos unlock soon! Stay tuned!”
According to report, Bigg Boss 19 is slated to run for five months. Salman Khan is expected to host the initial three months, with reports suggesting that Anil Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Farah Khan are being considered to take over hosting duties for the final two months.
The reality show is rumored to feature several well-known personalities as contestants. Names circulating include actors Ram Kapoor, Munmun Dutta, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Khushi Dubey, Gaurav Khanna, and social media influencers Mr. Faisu, Apoorva Mukhija, Purav Jha, Arshifa Khan, and Mickey Makeover. Other celebrities like Gautami Kapoor, Dhanashree Verma, and Sriram Chandra are also reportedly being considered for the upcoming season.
While an exact premiere date is yet to be officially announced, Bigg Boss 19 is reportedly set to premiere on JioCinema on August 30. In a significant change to its broadcast strategy this year, fresh episodes will premiere on the OTT platform first, followed by a television telecast on Colors TV approximately one and a half hours later on the same day.
