Is Salman Khan Ready for War in 'Battle of Galwan'?
July 4, 2025: Salman Khan is stepping into a soldier’s boots for a new role that has the nation buzzing. The Bollywood megastar unveiled the first motion poster of his upcoming film ‘Battle of Galwan’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, on Friday evening — and it’s already setting the internet on fire.
The gripping poster shows Salman bloodied but unbowed, his eyes burning with patriotism, as he embodies the bravery of the Indian Army soldiers who fought in the Galwan Valley clash against China on June 16, 2020.

The film is based on the real-life conflict in Ladakh, where 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives in one of the most intense India-China military confrontations in decades. The aftermath of the clash saw rising tensions and increased deployments along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), with both nations eventually agreeing to strategic disengagement.
Sharing the motion poster on Instagram, Salman wrote simply, “#GalwanValley.” A day earlier, he dropped a powerful still of himself with a cryptic Hindi-English caption:
“Mehnat karo sahi disha mein… aur banayega unhi ko unke hunar ka pehelwan.” (Work hard in the right direction… he will make them champions of their skill.)
While plot and release details remain under wraps, the intense first look and real-life inspiration have already sparked major excitement among fans and industry watchers alike.
With Apoorva Lakhia at the helm and Salman Khan in uniform, Battle of Galwan promises to be a bold and emotional tribute to the heroes of the Indian Army — and a cinematic event to watch for.
