June 12, 2025: After a New York judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Blake Lively, many expected a return to normalcy — especially with her inner circle. But sources say her once-close friendship with Taylor Swift remains on ice.

According to Us Weekly, the two stars have not reconnected since the legal battle. “Although it was great news for Blake, she hasn’t rekindled her friendship with Taylor yet,” a source revealed.
“Taylor has not been in touch and still does not want to discuss anything to do with the lawsuit.”
Blake, 37, is said to be “hopeful” they’ll reconnect, but “as of now, there is still distance.”
The friendship began to fray during Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, her It Ends With Us co-star and director. She accused him of sexual harassment and retaliation in late 2024. Baldoni responded with a countersuit, dragging Swift into the legal mess by accusing Blake of leveraging their friendship to control the film’s production.
The situation escalated when Swift was subpoenaed as a potential witness in the case — a move that was widely criticized by both legal teams. Swift’s representatives quickly distanced her from the controversy, clarifying she had no involvement with the film beyond licensing her song “My Tears Ricochet.”
Swift’s team called the subpoena “tabloid clickbait,” and Blake’s lawyer labeled Baldoni’s actions “a distraction” and “entertainment for the tabloids.” In May, Baldoni’s team quietly withdrew the subpoena, and the judge later ruled the allegations inadmissible in court.
Despite the legal win, the emotional fallout continues.
An earlier insider told People, “Taylor wants no part in this drama.” Their once-public friendship now appears paused — for how long, only time will tell.
