Is This Zoya Akhtar’s Most Courageous Project Yet?

June 6, 2025: The official trailer of the upcoming docuseries In Transit has been released, offering a heartfelt and powerful glimpse into the lives of trans and non-binary individuals in India. Produced by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti under the Tiger Baby banner, the four-part series is directed by Ayesha Sood and promises an intimate exploration of love, identity, and gender boundaries, told through a uniquely Indian lens.

Speaking about the project, Zoya Akhtar shared in a statement, “In Transit is a very special series for us. At Tiger Baby, we strive to tell all kinds of Indian stories and give a platform to unheard voices. With Prime Video’s global reach, we hope this series spreads love and empathy across audiences.”
