
It "was hard" for him to keep his role in 'Fortnight' secret: Josh Charles
Actor Josh Charles recently enjoyed a nostalgic reunion with Ethan Hawke as they filmed a cameo for Taylor Swift’s latest music video, ‘Fortnight’, from her album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Reflecting on the experience, Charles shared the challenges of maintaining secrecy.
“I don’t like keeping secrets so that was hard. I didn’t even tell my kids until the other day!” he disclosed in an Instagram post that featured a selfie with Hawke at the airport and a throwback photo from their ‘Dead Poets Society’ days.
In his post, Charles conveyed his excitement: “Here’s a couple of tortured old poets about to board an early flight to be pop stars for a day. Been through a lot with this dude over the years, but safe to say this was a most memorable day.” He expressed gratitude towards Swift and her crew for their gracious treatment during the shoot, which also stars Post Malone. “What I’ll remember most was the laughter. There was a lot of it. Like we were 17 all over again. #TSTTPD,” Charles reminisced.
Ethan Hawke joined in the fun with a comment suggesting they continue their on-screen partnership: “Maybe Todd & Knox start appearing mysteriously in the background of all the world’s great poets!” This playful banter between the two actors highlights the joy and camaraderie they experienced while participating in Swift’s project.
