In a recent interview, Ibrahim revealed that not only do fans and the media compare him to his father, but his mother, actress Amrita Singh, also often points out how much he reminds her of Saif—particularly when the two argue.

“Ibrahim admitted, “Sometimes, it’s scary when my mom and I are arguing and she goes, ‘Oh, you remind me of Saif.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh god, okay!’ What do I even say to her then?”

Ibrahim’s parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, were once one of Bollywood’s most talked-about couples. They got married in 1991, with Saif being just 21 and Amrita 33. The couple had two children—Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim—before their divorce in 2004 after 13 years of marriage. Saif later married actress Kareena Kapoor in 2012, with whom he has two sons: Taimur Ali Khan (born in 2016) and Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh, born in 2021).

As Ibrahim prepares to step into the limelight with his acting debut, the comparisons to his father have only intensified. Fans have not only remarked on his looks but also his undeniable resemblance to Saif’s youthful charm and presence. Ibrahim is set to star in the upcoming film Nadaaniyan, where he will be paired with Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor.

However, Ibrahim is also well aware of the harsh scrutiny that comes with being part of a film family. Speaking about the challenges of debuting in Bollywood, he said:

“Technically speaking, nepotism has been around forever, but these girls became targets. I realised that anyone from a film background looking to debut as an actor from then on was going to face backlash, no matter how good they may be. I was prepared for it, but didn’t expect it to be so harsh.”

Ibrahim’s upcoming projects include the sports drama Diler, where he will star alongside South Indian actress Sreeleela, and the film Sarzameen, where he will share the screen with Kajol. Directed by Kayoze Irani, Ibrahim’s diverse slate of films hints at the versatility he may bring to the screen.

As the young actor continues to make his mark, all eyes will be on how he navigates the industry with both his family legacy and his own identity.
