Jaat Box Office Collection Day 2: Sunny Deol-Starrer Slows Down, Crawls Past ₹16.5 Crore Mark
April 12, 2025: Sunny Deol’s much-anticipated action-drama Jaat is off to a shaky start at the box office. After an underwhelming opening day of ₹9.5 crore, the film registered a lower collection on day two, earning around ₹7 crore, as per early estimates reported by Sacnilk. This brings the total domestic collection to ₹16.5 crore in two days.
With only 9.10% Hindi occupancy reported on Friday, the film’s performance has fallen short of expectations, especially when compared to Sunny’s previous blockbuster Gadar 2. Industry insiders are now eyeing the weekend to see whether Jaat can gain momentum through word-of-mouth and family footfall.

Veteran actress Hema Malini, speaking at an event alongside daughter Esha Deol, expressed optimism:
“I heard it has opened with a very big bumper. Dharam ji is very happy. I’m also thrilled because it’s a very good film,” Hema said.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, known for his successful run in Telugu cinema, Jaat marks his Hindi directorial debut. The film features Saiyami Kher, Randeep Hooda, and Vineet Kumar Singh in pivotal roles and is produced by People Media Factory and Mythri Movie Makers.
Critics have appreciated the film’s tight screenplay and high-energy action. The Hindustan Times review notes:
“The Madras Cut influence is clear, but the screenplay remains taut and entertaining. It’s been a while since a masala actioner felt this engaging and polished.”
While Jaat has shown potential in its storyline and performances, trade analysts suggest the next 48 hours will be crucial. A steady weekend surge could help the film inch closer to commercial success.
