‘Jaat’ Box Office Day 5: Sunny Deol’s Massy Actioner Nears ₹50 Cr Mark Despite Mixed Reviews
April 15, 2025: Mumbai – Sunny Deol’s action-packed comeback vehicle Jaat is proving to be a steady performer at the box office. Directed by Gopichand Malineni in his Bollywood debut, the film collected ₹7.5 crore on Monday, pushing its five-day domestic total to an estimated ₹47.75 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
While the weekday dip was expected, the numbers remain robust given the mixed reviews and tough competition from other Eid releases like Sikandar and Good Bad Ugly.

Despite not matching the thunderous success of Sunny’s Gadar 2 (which netted ₹228.98 crore in five days), Jaat has carved its own space among mass entertainers.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, Jaat features Sunny Deol in a high-voltage avatar, supported by Randeep Hooda and Regina Cassandra. The cast also includes Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Zarina Wahab, and others.
Set in a village in Andhra Pradesh, the story follows a mysterious savior who takes on local oppressors. Audiences have been divided on the film’s over-the-top action and “masala” storytelling, though Sunny’s screen presence continues to draw in the crowds.
Amid chatter about the film’s title, Sunny responded ahead of the release:
“People get sensitive when you talk about these things. At the end of the day, we love everyone and are loved by everyone. We represent the whole country. There’s no agenda to uplift or downgrade anyone.”
