Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz Reunite in Action-Comedy Back in Action

Netflix drops thrilling trailer for Cameron Diaz’s long-awaited return to the screen in Back in Action.

Washington [US], January 15: The wait is over! Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated action-comedy film Back in Action, starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.

The trailer, released via Netflix’s official Instagram account, offers an exhilarating sneak peek into the thrilling world of two ex-CIA spies, Emily (Diaz) and Matt (Foxx), who are forced out of retirement after their secret identities are compromised.

A Spy Adventure Reignited
The plot follows Emily and Matt as they trade their peaceful family life for a return to espionage, tackling high-stakes missions and hilarious misadventures along the way. Directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), the film promises a mix of action-packed sequences and comedic moments.

Joining Diaz and Foxx in the cast are Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson, and Jamie Demetriou. Gordon co-wrote the screenplay with Brendan O’Brien.

Cameron Diaz’s Big Comeback
Back in Action marks Cameron Diaz’s return to acting after an eight-year hiatus, her last appearance being in 2014’s Annie, where she also starred alongside Foxx. Diaz’s return was announced in June 2022, and filming began in December of that year.

The production faced challenges, including a pause in April 2023 due to a medical emergency involving Foxx. Despite the setback, the film wrapped in January 2024.

This marks Diaz and Foxx’s third collaboration, following 1999’s Any Given Sunday and Annie. Diaz will next appear in Jonah Hill’s upcoming film Outcome.

Premiere Date
Back in Action will debut on Netflix on January 17, offering fans an exciting blend of action, comedy, and the long-awaited reunion of Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.

Get ready to laugh, thrill, and cheer as this dynamic duo lights up the screen once again!
