Jax Taylor Exits Los Angeles Bar, Citing Sobriety And Mental Health Focus
Los Angeles, California—July 27, 2025— Jax Taylor, who is most known for being on Vanderpump Rules for a long time, is leaving his Los Angeles business, Jax’s Studio City. A spokeswoman for the reality TV celebrity confirmed to TMZ that Taylor has discontinued his association with the club, a “carefully considered and necessary step to prioritize his sobriety and mental health.”
Fans were worried and speculated after seeing workers take Taylor’s name from the Studio City building on Saturday.
Taylor’s revelation less than two weeks ago that he will be leaving the Bravo spin-off series The Valley is quite similar to this news. He said he was leaving for the same reason: to focus on his mental health and sobriety.
Jax Taylor has been fighting substance misuse and mental health problems for a long time. He famously went to an inpatient treatment center almost a year ago to deal with these problems. He has been on the rise since then, even though he is still going through a divorce from Brittany Cartwright, who filed for divorce in August 2024. On Watch What Happens Live on July 22, 2025, Brittany said that their relationship is “horrible” and that there is “no trust whatsoever.” Jax says he is sober from cocaine and alcohol, while Brittany says he is “sober from some things, but not all things.”
Jax Taylor may not be running bars right now, but his representatives say that this choice is based on his dedication to his health.
