Jennifer Aniston’s Alleged Stalker Appears Shirtless in Court, Sparks Fan Concern

May 9, 2025: A man accused of stalking Friends star Jennifer Aniston was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation after crashing his car into her front gate. The judgment was delivered in a Los Angeles court, where the 48-year-old accused, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, appeared shirtless and covered with a blanket behind protective glass during his court appearance on Thursday.

Carwyle, who faces felony charges of stalking and vandalism, has reportedly been harassing Aniston for the past two years, bombarding her with emails, voicemails, and social media messages. His actions culminated in the recent incident when he allegedly drove his car through the gates of Aniston’s property.

The accused did not enter a plea and remained silent during the proceedings. Instead, his attorney, Deputy Public Defender Toral Malik, entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. As the court deliberated on his case, Judge Keith L. Schwartz expressed doubt about whether Carwyle would be able to comprehend the charges against him. This led to the order for a mental health evaluation to assess whether he is competent to face the charges.

As the prosecution asked for a restraining order preventing Carwyle from contacting Aniston, Judge Schwartz issued an order prohibiting any contact with the actress under any circumstances, despite the defense lawyer’s belief that it wouldn’t be an issue. Carwyle will remain in custody, unable to post his $150,000 bail.

Photos of the court appearance, showing Carwyle shirtless and smiling behind the glass, have surfaced online, sparking a mix of fear and concern among Jennifer Aniston’s fans. Many expressed shock and discomfort at the images, with some describing them as “terrifying” and others stating that they would have nightmares after seeing the close-up photos.

“The smiling pics needed a trigger warning… Nightmares for a week at least,” one commenter wrote on social media, while others echoed similar sentiments, with one fan remarking, “I wasn’t prepared for that second closeup.”

The court’s decision to have Carwyle undergo a mental health evaluation adds a layer of uncertainty to the case as it moves forward. As authorities continue to investigate the stalking claims, Jennifer Aniston’s fans are left deeply disturbed by the frightening nature of the encounter, hoping for a swift resolution and greater protection for the beloved actress.
