Jennifer Lopez is heading back to where she belongs — the world of rom-coms — in the upcoming film Office Romance, and it’s promising to be anything but a standard 9-to-5.

J.Lo stars as Jackie Cruz, a high-powered executive entangled in an unexpected workplace relationship with Daniel Blanchflower, played by Emmy-winner Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso, Shrinking). Filming has officially kicked off, and early behind-the-scenes photos shared by Lopez are already creating buzz.

“Every day I come to work to do a rom-com with Jennifer Lopez and this incredible cast, and I expect people to jump out and tell me I’m being pranked,” Goldstein said. “Hasn’t happened yet, so maybe this is real?”
The film is helmed by Ol Parker, known for vibrant, heartfelt storytelling in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. The screenplay comes from Goldstein and Joe Kelly, who also serve as producers alongside Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Aaron Ryder, and Andrew Swett. Pamela Thur and Courtney Baxter are on board as executive producers.
This marks a special reunion for Lopez and Edward James Olmos, who last appeared as father and daughter in the 1997 biopic Selena, a role that cemented J.Lo’s status as a Hollywood A-lister.
From the looks of it, Office Romance will blend classic rom-com tropes with a fresh, slightly edgy twist. With J.Lo’s charm and Goldstein’s dry wit, fans can expect sparks to fly in this high-stakes corporate comedy.
