In an interview with comedian Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine, the 55-year-old singer and actress opened up about embracing her independence after a challenging year, emphasizing that she’s not looking for a new relationship anytime soon.

Reflecting on her life post-divorce, Lopez shared that she’s eager to spend time alone. When asked about dating again, she responded, “I’m not looking for anybody. I’m excited about the prospect of just flying solo and seeing what I can do on my own. What if I’m just free?”

The Grammy-nominated star acknowledged that being single feels like “new territory” for her—sometimes lonely, unfamiliar, and even scary. However, she stressed that a relationship doesn’t define her, saying, “When you sit in those feelings and realize, ‘These things aren’t going to kill me,’ it’s empowering. I’m capable of joy and happiness all by myself.”

The film, which received a standing ovation, holds a special place in her heart. “I got to see it with the audience in Toronto, and people really responded to the emotion of the movie,” she said. “It’s a beautiful, inspirational story that I think the world needs right now.”
