May 08, 2025 : Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about how she discussed her divorce from actor Ben Affleck with her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme. In a candid interview, Lopez shared that she made it a priority to support her children through the emotional transition, reassuring them—and herself—that they would all come out stronger.
Speaking to E! News, Lopez expressed pride in how she managed the sensitive conversation. “I’m proud of myself for that, and I’m proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times,” she said. Lopez emphasized that her children have grown from the experience and are doing better as a result.
Despite their split, both Lopez and Affleck remain committed to maintaining a strong, loving bond with their children. Affleck, in a previous interview, praised Lopez’s relationship with his kids and expressed affection for her children as well. “Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them. I love her kids. They’re wonderful,” he said.
Commenting on their separation, Affleck noted that the breakup was free of drama. “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue,” he stated. “It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do.”
