Jisshu Sengupta Joins Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ For A Wild Ride

March 15, 2025: Actor Jisshu Sengupta has joined the cast of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan.

The announcement was made on Sengupta’s birthday, with the film’s makers sharing a picture of the actor along with a heartfelt birthday wish. The post on social media expressed excitement about Sengupta’s addition to the project, stating, “Excited to see him bring his magic to Bhooth Bangla. It’s going to be a wild ride.”

Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of director Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar after a long hiatus. The duo has previously collaborated on successful films like Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag, Garam Masala, De Dana Dan, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which were popular among audiences. This new venture, Bhooth Bangla, is expected to deliver the same level of entertainment, blending humor with thrilling horror elements.

The film also stars Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. Notably, Bhooth Bangla marks a reunion between Akshay Kumar and Tabu after 25 years, as the two were last seen together in the hit film Hera Pheri.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, along with Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla is slated for a theatrical release on April 2, 2026.
