March 20, 2025: John Abraham’s latest political thriller, The Diplomat, is nearing the end of its first-week run at the box office, inching closer to the ₹20 crore milestone. Despite a promising start, the film experienced sharp declines in earnings during the weekdays, signaling a struggle to maintain momentum.

According to reports from Sacnilk, the film collected ₹1.40 crore on Wednesday, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹17.65 crore. With just one day left in its debut week, it remains to be seen if The Diplomat can push past the ₹20 crore mark before the weekend.

Box Office Performance So Far

The film surprised industry experts with its stronger-than-expected opening, collecting ₹4.03 crore on Friday. Over the weekend, it maintained steady growth, earning ₹4.65 crore on both Saturday and Sunday, crossing ₹12 crore in just three days. However, the real challenge began on Monday, when collections saw a dramatic 60% dip.
