Jonathan Majors Open To Reprising Role As 'Kang The Conqueror' In MCU
March 19, 2025: Actor Jonathan Majors has made it clear that he would be open to returning as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), despite being dropped from the franchise following his conviction on two misdemeanour charges. In a recent interview, Majors expressed his love for the MCU, Disney, and the film industry, and said that if Marvel were to reach out to him to reprise his role, he would accept without hesitation.
Majors first played the role of Kang in the 2023 film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and was reportedly slated to appear in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, his legal troubles, including a conviction for reckless assault and harassment, led Marvel Studios to distance itself from the actor. Reports suggested that Marvel had shifted its focus for the upcoming Avengers films, rebranding them to Avengers: Doomsday with a focus on Doctor Doom, a role expected to be played by Robert Downey Jr.
Despite this, Majors remains positive and open about a potential return. He also reiterated his enthusiasm for continuing his role in Creed III, where he played the character Damian ‘Diamond Dame’ Anderson. Majors’ co-star in Creed III, Michael B. Jordan, recently shared his desire to work with Majors again, which may pave the way for his return to the Creed franchise as well.
Majors’ willingness to return to major franchises like Marvel and Creed signals his confidence in moving past his legal issues and continuing his acting career.
