Lionsgate has officially announced the lead cast for its highly anticipated Hunger Games prequel, Sunrise on the Reaping. Joseph Zada, best known for his role in We Were Liars, has been cast as a young Haymitch Abernathy, with Whitney Peak set to play his girlfriend Lenore Dove Baird, as per a report from Variety.

The upcoming film, based on Suzanne Collins’ newly released novel, will chronicle events set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen enters the arena and 40 years after the events of The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
