Josh Duhamel, Dylan Sprouse, Til Schweiger To Star In Action Thriller ‘The Neglected’

December 31, 2024: Hollywood stars Josh Duhamel, Dylan Sprouse, and Til Schweiger have just completed production on their latest film, The Neglected, an intense action thriller that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Directed and co-written by David Lipper, who also takes on producing duties alongside Robert A. Daly Jr. and a team of industry veterans, the film is poised to be one of the year’s most anticipated releases. Red Sea Media is handling international sales, adding to the film’s growing buzz.

In The Neglected, Duhamel plays Detective Shaw, a seasoned law enforcement officer nearing retirement. However, his final day on the job turns into a nightmare when he uncovers a horrifying discovery: a serial killer has buried Shaw’s own son alive. With just hours left before his son runs out of air, Shaw embarks on a desperate mission to solve three murders and track down his son before time runs out. The race against time amplifies the emotional and physical stakes, with Shaw forced to confront not only the killer but also his own inner demons.

Duhamel, known for his role in Shotgun Wedding opposite Jennifer Lopez, leads the film’s ensemble cast, which also includes Dylan Sprouse and Til Schweiger. The movie also features Jeremy and Jason London, alongside Elena Sanchez, in key supporting roles. The screenplay for The Neglected was co-written by David Lipper and Adam G. Levine.

David Lipper, reflecting on the emotional weight of the film, explained the central theme of neglect and its consequences, stating, “I think audiences are going to relate to the big question facing Shaw in this film: who and what have we neglected in our lives and what is the cause and effect of that?” This emotional undercurrent, paired with Shaw’s high-stakes race to save his son, is expected to provide the film with both intensity and depth.
