Joshua Jackson And Jodie Turner-Smith Finalize Divorce, Clash Over Daughter’s Schooling

May 05, 2025: Actors Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith have officially settled their divorce, but continue to dispute over a key issue: their daughter Juno’s school enrollment.

According to legal documents obtained by People, the couple has agreed to terms regarding their 50-50 custody arrangement, child support, and financial separation. Jackson will pay USD 2,787 in monthly child support, while no spousal support will be exchanged aside from a one-time lump sum payment.

However, the two remain at odds over 4-year-old Juno’s education. Turner-Smith alleges Jackson is violating a court-approved stipulation that gave her the authority to make the final decision regarding their daughter’s school.

“I have the clear authority to make the school selection in Juno’s best interest, and Josh is refusing to adhere to the terms,” Turner-Smith claimed in a declaration submitted to the court.

She said the couple had participated in a full-day mediation in May 2024, where temporary custody arrangements for the 2024–25 school year were reached. Both parties signed a stipulation authorizing her to choose Juno’s school.

Turner-Smith explained that she selected a school that offered a stable and diverse environment and informed Jackson prior to the child’s acceptance in April. Despite their joint efforts with an educational consultant, she says Jackson later told her he “never intended to honour” the agreement and objected to the enrollment, citing logistical concerns like commute time.

As a result, Turner-Smith is requesting the court to order Jackson to pay USD 75,000 in legal fees incurred over the disagreement.

The latest conflict comes over a year after Turner-Smith filed for divorce in October 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple separated just weeks after celebrating her 37th birthday. They had been married since August 2019 and welcomed their daughter in April 2020.
