A viral video shows a fan using a device to shoot a stream of fire, sparking a debate on safety and extreme fan frenzy. The dangerous stunt, pulled off during the superstar’s much-hyped entry, has been slammed by concerned netizens as a fire hazard.
August 15, 2025: Telugu actor Jr NTR‘s first Bollywood movie, Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, has caused a huge fan frenzy, but one party has raised major safety concerns. A viral video shows a fan using what looks like a flamethrower in a crowded movie theater, which is a dangerous move that many have been talking about online.
The event happened during Jr NTR’s widely anticipated entrance moment, in which he is introduced as the “Man of the Masses.” As supporters cheer and toss confetti in the video, someone near the screen lights a contraption that sprays out a stream of fire. “War 2 NTR entry…Fans bring out flame thrower in theatres,” said the caption on the Instagram video released by a paparazzo account.
Some people online commended the fan’s passion, while many others quickly condemned the reckless conduct, pointing out that it could start a fire in a busy public location. People said things like “This could have gone horribly wrong” and “Why do southies act like clowns?” The event has also led to a discussion on the difference between being a passionate fan and being careless.
People have already spoken bad things about Jr NTR supporters going too far at the movie’s release. Other videos and photographs show supporters putting tilak on the actor’s posters with their own blood, setting off firecrackers, and doing puja rites. All of these things have been called out for being too much.
The movie is a sequel to the hit War from 2019. Hrithik Roshan plays Kabir again, and Jr NTR plays Vikram. According to the trade site Sacnilk, War 2 made a net total of ₹52.5 crore in India on its first day.
