Get ready for more animal antics, but with a twist! “Zootopia 2” is hitting theaters this November, and it seems the dynamic duo of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are facing some unexpected challenges. In new footage released today, it’s revealed that the beloved fox and bunny are actually attending “partners therapy” – a mandatory session ordered by none other than Chief Bogo, voiced by the returning Idris Elba.

Turns out, even after successfully solving the major case of animals mysteriously turning “savage” in the first Zootopia, the professional partnership between Judy and Nick isn’t as solid as they (or perhaps Chief Bogo) once thought.

As Judy, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, notes in the newly released footage, she and Nick, voiced by Jason Bateman, have been official police partners for a full week now. However, their collaboration might be short-lived, as Chief Bogo threatens to split them up if they can’t crack the new case that has landed on their desk.

This latest mystery involves a perplexing situation: a mysterious snake has arrived in Zootopia. Nick, ever the cynic, expresses his skepticism, pointing out that “No snake has set foot in Zootopia in forever.” Despite his reservations, this new snake, voiced by Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan, might not be entirely antagonistic, insisting he’s only trying to help his family. This intriguing new character adds another layer of complexity to the already strained partnership.

Fans will be thrilled to hear familiar voices returning alongside Goodwin, Bateman, and Elba. The confirmed returning voice cast includes Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Nate Torrence, Jenny Slate, Alan Tudyk, Josh Dallas, and many more, ensuring the beloved ensemble cast continues to bring the vibrant world of Zootopia to life.

“Zootopia 2” is directed and written by Jared Bush, who also co-directed and co-wrote the critically acclaimed first film. The highly anticipated animated sequel is set to arrive in theaters on November 26, just in time for the holiday season. Audiences can look forward to seeing if Judy and Nick can work through their partnership woes and solve the latest Zootopia enigma, all while navigating mandated therapy sessions!
