Justin Baldoni Accuses Blake Lively For Using Celebrity Status to Control Deposition

July 14, 2025: The legal drama between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues to escalate as Baldoni’s legal team pushes back against Lively’s request to hold her upcoming deposition at her attorney’s office in New York City.

Lively, who is suing Justin Baldoni over alleged sexual harassment during the filming of It Ends With Us, expressed concerns about potential paparazzi ambushes outside Baldoni’s lawyer’s office. She requested that the deposition, scheduled for Thursday, be moved to her own attorney’s office to avoid any such disruptions, according to reports from Page Six.

However, Justin Baldoni lawyers responded strongly, stating there is no evidence to support the claim of paparazzi harassment. They pointed out that both attorneys’ offices are located just about a mile apart. Moreover, they argued that holding the deposition at Lively’s office would place them at a disadvantage by limiting their access to private spaces for confidential discussions during the proceedings, per court documents obtained by TMZ.

“Although Lively’s foot-stomping and use of her celebrity status may have enabled her to seize control of the film, which is the crux of this dispute, her counsel’s tantrum has no place in this Court,” Baldoni’s lawyers said.

Earlier, Lively’s team accused Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman of attempting to turn the deposition into a spectacle. In response, Lively’s representative stated, “Ms. Lively is looking forward to her deposition next week, and it should follow the same rules as every other witness in this case.”

The lawsuit centers around Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment by Baldoni, who has vehemently denied the claims. Baldoni also filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion — a countersuit that was dismissed by a judge last month.

As both sides prepare for the deposition, the legal tug-of-war is showing no signs of slowing down, highlighting the intense conflict between the two actors in a high-profile case that has captured public attention.
