Kailash Kher Composes ‘Ye Shankhnaad Hai’ For Delhi CM Swearing-In Ceremony, Says ‘It’s A Thank You Song For Delhi’

February 20, 2025: Ace singer Kailash Kher has released a song titled ‘Ye Shankhnaad Hai’ to express gratitude to the people of Delhi ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister of Delhi. The ceremony is set to take place on February 20, 2025, at Ramlila Maidan, and Kher will be performing at the event. Kailash shared that the song is a gesture to thank the residents of Delhi for their support and the mandate they gave to the newly elected government.

The song is dedicated to the people of Delhi and is seen as a victory song celebrating the election results. Kailash Kher also posted about the release on his Instagram handle, writing, “Congratulations on this historic and brave victory along with oath-taking, this is a musical gift to every resident in Delhi.”

Rekha Gupta, who will be sworn in as the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party leadership for their trust in her. She expressed that her story can inspire every woman, showcasing how a middle-class woman can rise to the top leadership position in politics. Gupta’s leadership marks a historic moment as the BJP forms the government in Delhi after 27 years, winning 48 out of the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections.

Other ministers such as Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and others will also be taking the oath. The event is expected to see the attendance of several high-profile leaders including Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other Union Ministers, along with Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states. The swearing-in marks the start of a new BJP-led government in the national capital, as AAP’s reign came to an end following their 22-seat win in the elections.

The song ‘Ye Shankhnaad Hai’ is a celebratory tribute to the victory of the BJP and is an emotional gift to Delhi residents, showcasing Kailash Kher’s connection to this historic moment in the city’s politics.
