Kajol Shuts Down “Daft” Question at Do Patti Trailer Launch: “Too Personal to Share”

October 14, 2024: At the trailer launch of her upcoming film Do Patti, Kajol showcased her trademark wit and candour, shutting down a journalist’s personal query in her own no-nonsense style. The event, held in Mumbai, took a brief turn when a journalist posed a question related to betrayal, asking if Kajol had ever experienced it in real life.

The question, linked to the film’s theme of betrayal and lies, didn’t sit well with the actor. Kajol swiftly responded, saying, “Don’t be daft. I am not going to share an anecdote. It is too personal. If it’s a betrayal, it’s obviously too personal. I will not share the details.” Her frank reply was followed by lighthearted banter with her co-stars Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh, asking them if they had any such experiences they’d like to reveal. They also politely declined.

Kajol then elaborated on the universality of betrayal: “We cannot share anecdotes on this topic. But betrayal is something everyone experiences. Whether as a child, teenager, or adult, it’s a part of life. Otherwise, you haven’t lived life at all or you’ve been under a tree somewhere. Yes, we’ve all felt betrayal, and I think we’ve portrayed it nicely in the film.”

In a humorous twist, Kriti Sanon flipped the question back on the journalist, asking if he had ever felt betrayed. The journalist agreed but offered to share the details privately.

The Do Patti trailer launch event left the audience entertained by the stars’ playful responses while building anticipation for the film’s release.

A few days ago, at the Durga Puja pandal, things took a dramatic turn when Kajol became upset at some guests entering the pandal wearing shoes, leading to a moment that has since gone viral.

In a now-viral Instagram video, Kajol, dressed elegantly in a saree, was seen visibly frustrated as she noticed some attendees wearing shoes inside the sacred space. Taking charge of the situation, she addressed the crowd, saying, “Side ho jaiye, aapke joote hai. No shoes please.” She even took the microphone to repeat her request, emphasising, “Everybody who is wearing shoes please move aside. All of you please have respect for puja.”
