‘Kalam’: Dhanush to Play India’s ‘Missile Man’ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in a Powerful Biopic

The film was officially announced at the Cannes Film Festival, with National Award-winning actor Dhanush set to portray the iconic scientist and visionary leader, known as the ‘Missile Man of India.’

The film will focus on the multifaceted life of Dr. Kalam, exploring not just his contributions to India’s missile programs but also his inspiring presidency, his work as a poet, teacher, and spiritual dreamer. Directed by Om Raut, the filmmaker behind the recent hit Adipurush, Kalam is positioned not just as a political biography but as an exploration of the essence of leadership.
