Kalki Koechlin Jokingly Blames Alia Bhatt’s Children’s Book for Stirring Trouble at Home

Kalki Koechlin, the talented actress and new mother, recently shared a delightful and humorous story about how her daughter, Sappho, has developed a sudden interest in pets, all thanks to Alia Bhatt’s children’s book Ed Finds a Home. Kalki took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share a page from the book that seems to have captured little Sappho’s heart.

The page Kalki shared features a young girl introducing a lost dog to her father, a moment that clearly resonated with Sappho. Along with the picture, Kalki playfully captioned, “Uh oh, you got us in trouble, Alia Bhatt. Now Sappho wants Ed in our home.” The humorous post suggests that Sappho is now eager to have a dog like the one in Alia’s book, sparking some playful “trouble” at home.

Alia Bhatt, who saw the post, responded with a series of laughing emojis, acknowledging the unintended consequence of her literary debut.

Alia Bhatt’s Ed Finds a Home, which marked her debut as an author in June, has been well-received, particularly by young readers. The book’s heartwarming story about a dog finding its forever home has clearly struck a chord with many, including Sappho.

Alia Bhatt’s Upcoming Projects

While Ed Finds a Home continues to enchant young readers, Alia Bhatt has a busy schedule ahead in the film industry. She is set to headline the upcoming film Jigra, which recently had its release date pushed back from September 27, 2024, to October 11, 2024. Sharing this update on Instagram, Alia wrote, “11.10.2024 | JIGRA | See you at the movies,” building excitement for her fans.

In addition to Jigra, Alia will be seen sharing the screen with her husband Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated film Love & War. The film, which also stars Vicky Kaushal, is expected to be a cinematic treat, given Bhansali’s reputation for crafting visually stunning and emotionally charged narratives.

Another exciting project on Alia’s horizon is Alpha, where she will be seen alongside Sharvari in a role that highlights her as a super agent. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha represents a significant shift in the action-packed series, which was previously focused on male protagonists but now features strong female characters, signaling a fresh and empowering direction.

As Kalki Koechlin navigates the adorable challenges of parenthood with Sappho, Alia Bhatt continues to expand her creative horizons, both as an author and an actress. With a series of promising films on the way, Alia is poised to captivate audiences yet again, while her book continues to inspire young minds—perhaps even leading to a few more pet adoptions along the way.
