March 5, 2025: Renowned playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar was found unconscious at her residence in Rangareddy, Telangana, on Tuesday. The 44-year-old singer’s condition raised alarms when the apartment committee made an emergency call around 5 pm after noticing something was amiss. Upon arrival, the KPHB police found Kalpana’s apartment door locked but observed through the kitchen window that she was lying unconscious on her bed.
The authorities quickly acted to open the door and rushed her to the Holistic Hospital in an ambulance. Her husband arrived shortly after and was informed about the situation. Doctors confirmed that Kalpana’s condition has since stabilized, and she is now receiving the necessary medical treatment.
A statement from the KPHB police station confirmed the incident and mentioned, “We received a call from the apartment committee at 5 pm. Upon arrival, we found the door locked, but through the kitchen window, we spotted Kalpana lying unconscious on her bed. We quickly transported her to the Holistic Hospital in an ambulance, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Her husband reached by 6 pm. Her condition is better now. No case has been registered.”
Kalpana, a celebrated singer in the Indian music industry, has earned recognition for her work in numerous languages. Her famous songs include ‘Navamoorthulainatti’ from Intinta Annamayya and ‘Pogiren’ from 36 Vayadhinile. For her exceptional work, Kalpana also won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
