May 20, 2025: Months after facing backlash over his stand-up content, comedian Kunal Kamra found himself on the receiving end of a scathing roast—this time, from fellow comedians on the viral BroCode Roast show. Sitting on the side of the stage, Kamra smiled and clapped as a panel of comics took sharp, witty digs at his political leanings, past controversies, and his association with Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar.

One comedian didn’t hold back, joking, “Kamra has been doing political comedy for years, but no one’s converted because of it. Even sleeper cells are more active than that!” The roaster went on to mock Kamra’s campaign work for Kanhaiya Kumar, calling him a “contractor” for the Congress party. “Kamra sunta sab ki hai, karta Congress ki,” he quipped, triggering laughter from the audience.
The roast also referenced Kamra’s recent ‘gaddar’ remark aimed at Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, as well as his silence on Kashmiri Pandit issues—specifically jabbing at fellow comic Samay Raina’s background.
The show quickly went viral on social media, with fans both praising the roast and dissecting the layered political humour. Kamra, known for his bold takes and sharp satire, took the jokes in stride, smiling through the jabs—a move some viewers saw as a rare moment of comic camaraderie, while others called it a moment of reckoning.
Whether you love him or loathe him, Kamra’s appearance proved he’s willing to be in the hot seat—literally—for the sake of comedy.
