Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut recently took to Instagram to express her admiration for the horror-comedy film ‘Stree 2,’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The movie, which has opened to rave reviews, earned high praise from Kangana, particularly for its director, Amar Kaushik.
In a heartfelt Instagram story, Kangana shared her thoughts on the film’s success and emphasized the importance of recognizing the contributions of directors in the filmmaking process. She highlighted that while the movie industry often glorifies actors, the real heroes are the directors who bring the vision to life.
“Movie ‘Stree’ has shattered all records, congratulations to the entire team, but the real hero of a film is the director. In India, we don’t give enough credit or appreciation to directors; that’s why not many youngsters want to be writers/directors. Everyone who wants a career in films meets me for guidance and wants to be either an actor or a superstar. Who will make movies if all become actors? Socho! (Think),” Kangana wrote in her note.
She further encouraged her followers to learn about and appreciate directors, stating, “Please learn the names of all good directors, who do so much to entertain and engage you and please follow them also. Learn about their lives and processes as well. Please appreciate them and encourage them too. Dear @amarkaushik sir, thank you for this much-needed all-time blockbuster.”
‘Stree 2‘ was released in theatres on Thursday and has been met with positive reviews from both critics and audiences. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie grossed ₹55.40 crore in India on its opening day, marking a strong start at the box office.
The film is also garnering attention for its special appearances, including a cameo by Akshay Kumar and a special appearance by Varun Dhawan. The movie, directed by Amar Kaushik, continues to receive praise for its engaging storyline and entertaining performances, with many calling it a “full paisa vasool” experience.
As ‘Stree 2’ enjoys its box office success, Kangana’s words serve as a reminder of the crucial role that directors play in crafting cinematic experiences that resonate with audiences.
