Kangana Ranaut Shares BTS Moments from ‘Emergency’ Sets, Announces Upcoming Track Release

Kangana Ranaut continues to build anticipation for her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ by sharing some intriguing behind-the-scenes photos from the set. Following the buzz created by the trailer release, Kangana took to Instagram to offer fans a peek into the filmmaking process, which she describes as the ultimate “surrender.”

In a series of photos, Kangana is seen both behind the camera and in front of the lens, fully immersed in her dual role as director and lead actress. The album also includes candid shots of Anupam Kher and other key members of the ‘Emergency’ team, highlighting the collaborative spirit on set.

Along with the pictures, Kangana reflected on the art of filmmaking, writing, “If you ask me in one word what is filmmaking. It’s the ultimate ‘SURRENDER’ To that happening which is meant to happen regardless of you. #emergency On 6th September.”

Adding to the excitement, Kangana announced the upcoming release of the film’s first track, ‘Singhasan Khali Karo,’ set to drop on August 26. She shared a striking poster of the song on social media with the caption, “REVOLT BEGINS! Jab Ek neta desh sewa ke liye nahi Satta ke liye ladta hai, tab janta ka Hota hai ek hi naara #SinghasanKhaliKaro! Out on 26.08.2024.”

‘Emergency’, a film entirely helmed by Kangana Ranaut, promises to be a gripping portrayal of the events surrounding the 1975 Emergency in India. The movie features a stellar cast, including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.

The recently released trailer offers a glimpse into the life of Indira Gandhi, played by Kangana, showcasing her bond with her father, Jawaharlal Nehru, and her journey through the tumultuous political landscape of the time. The film delves into significant events like the Emergency period, the Shimla Agreement, the rise of the Khalistan movement, and the JP Andolan.

Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, ‘Emergency’ is set against the backdrop of one of India’s most critical political periods. With screenplay and dialogues by Ritesh Shah and music composed by Sanchit Balhara, the film aims to captivate audiences with its portrayal of these historical events.
