The 62-year-old star of the Kannada film industry shared his journey of recovery through a touching video posted on his social media, giving fans a glimpse into his emotional and physical healing process following surgery in Miami, Florida.

Starting the video with a warm “Namaskar” and a wish for a Happy New Year, Shiva Rajkumar admitted how challenging it had been to speak about his health journey. He reflected on the fear and uncertainty he faced, even before his diagnosis. “I was scared even before, but fans, relatives, co-artists, and doctors—especially Dr. Shashidhar, who treated me, and the nurses—made me strong,” he shared, acknowledging the strength he drew from his support system.

Shiva Rajkumar continued, describing how the process of undergoing chemotherapy felt daunting, but the support of his loved ones helped him stay resilient. He explained that even as he prepared to travel for treatment in Miami, the fear never fully went away. “When I was ready to go for treatment in Miami, I was still scared. However, my friends, family, and loved ones were by my side,” he said.

Expressing immense gratitude, Rajkumar thanked those who cared for him during this difficult time, including his wife Geetha, his cousin, and friends. “My cousin, wife Geetha, Prashant, my friend Anu, and Madhu Bangarappa took great care of me. Doctors and the entire staff at the Miami Cancer Center were extremely supportive,” he said, adding that the surgery had been successful. He shared that his kidney bladder had been removed and replaced, and with the love and wishes from his fans, he was looking forward to a complete recovery.

“With all your wishes and the doctor’s advice, I’ll be taking care of myself for the next month. I will be back stronger soon. Love you all and Happy New Year,” Shiva Rajkumar concluded in the video.
