Kara; ‘Dangerous’ First-Look Poster Unveiled on Pongal
Actor Dhanush marked the festive occasion of Pongal by unveiling the official title and first-look poster of his 54th film. Tentatively known as D54, the film has been titled Kara and is directed by Por Thozhil filmmaker Vignesh Raja.
Taking to Instagram, Dhanush shared an intense first-look poster that presents him in a rugged, fierce avatar. The poster shows the actor standing alone in a scorched field, fire reflecting in his eyes, while gripping what appears to be a detonator or explosive trigger planted in the ground—hinting that the blaze behind him is deliberate.
The striking visual is accompanied by the tagline, “Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive,” strongly suggesting that Kara will be a gritty, violent survival drama. Sharing the poster, Dhanush wrote, “#D54 is #Kara 🔥. Happy Pongal. Happy Sankranti,” while also crediting director Vignesh Raja, producer Ishari K Ganesh, and composer GV Prakash Kumar.
Fans flooded the comments section with praise, calling the poster “fire,” “blockbuster vibes,” and “the best Pongal surprise,” with many expressing high expectations from the project.
